Malindi Excursions

Gede Ruins & Watamu

A guided tour to a local Giriama village where you will be welcomed by local traditional songs and even get a chance to dance, get a closer contact with the people going about their daily lives activities, “African way of life”, visit a local medicine man get to know the various medicinal herbs and charms used for generations.

Tour the intriguing Gede Ruins an ancient town inhabited by the Swahili and Arabs relatives centuries ago and abandoned in the 16th century later visit the Gede butterfly pavilion sum up the tour with a visit to Watamu town then back to your hotel.

Marafa Hells Kitchen

An astonishing tourist site formed due to geological effects of the world, where hard and soft stone were eroded by wind, rain and torrents forming huge deep gorges and long chimneys, offers a perfect sunset view, later in the evening return back to you place of stay.

Malindi Town Tour

Begin the tour with a visit to the Portuguese historical monument Vasco Da Gama Pillar built in 1498, visit the Portuguese chapel the first Christian church in East Africa built in 1509, to carter for only 60 Portuguese present at the time. St Francis Xavier, a founding member of Jesus society visited Malindi in 1542, and buried one of his sea men at the chapel, on his way to India. Also the colonial governor, Mr. J Bell Smith, was buried there.
Tour the Indian shops and later the Italian part of Malindi, before heading to the fruit and vegetable market, mingle with the ever friendly locals, going about their daily lives.

Mombasa Excursions

Mombasa City Tour

The diversity of Mombasa is remarkable, making the city unlike any other in Kenya, with a unique cultural blend of Africans, Arabs and Asians representing many religious belief systems, including Christian, Muslim, Buddhist and Hindu. Touring the city not only allows you to see the architecture and learn about the cultures, but you also gain a deep understanding of the historical foundation of the ethnic diversity that makes Mombasa one of the most interesting destinations in Africa, such as how Afro-Asians and Afro-Arabs including the Swahilis have been living on the coast of East Africa for more than 500 years.

Stops on the trip include local bazaars, Fort Jesus, visits to the handicraft carvers and the Mackinnon Market. The first stop on the excursion, Fort Jesus, was built in 1593 based on designs by an Italian architect and engineer named Joao Batista Cairato. Originally used by the Portuguese, the imposing structure rests upon a coral ridge at the entrance of the old town harbor, and its strategic location has resulted in many battles for its control.

Nairobi Excursions

Nairobi City Tour

Covers the main areas of interest in the capital including the Nairobi National Museum, historic areas such as the Parliament buildings and Mausoleum, and the colorful Maasai market.

Bomas of Kenya

Traditional homesteads of the better known Kenyan tribes have been beautifully recreated. Entertainment by traditional dancers.

Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Center, Kazuri Beads Cottage, and Utamaduni Arts and Craft

A visit to the Karen Blixen Museum, former home of the authoress of the book Out of Africa. A visit to the Giraffe Center, a sanctuary for the rare and beautiful Rothschild’s Giraffe, Kazuri, a bead and pottery factory and shop for souvenirs at Utamaduni.

The Carnivore Experience

The Carnivore Restaurant is famous for its succulent steaks – beef, lamb, chicken, and pork cooked Masai style on skewers over huge open pit barbecues. The restaurant does offer a vegetarian menu.

Animal Orphanage and Crocodile Farm

At the Nairobi Animal Orphanage you get to see different animals and their young. The Crocodile Farm is home to ostriches and more than 70 crocodiles. On Sundays you can watch the crocodiles being fed.
